This policy covers TickerVue Connector, one browser extension for Interactive Brokers and E*TRADE. It connects to https://tickervue.com and development instances at http://localhost:3035 or http://127.0.0.1:3035. Each site requires separate approval; saved account data does not automatically transfer between sites.
Information used and where it goes
For Interactive Brokers, Connector uses your Flex Web Service token and query ID to request account reports directly from Interactive Brokers. It passes sanitized financial reports, including account identifiers, balances, holdings and activity, to the TickerVue page you approve. It has no trading operations.
For E*TRADE, Connector uses your individual developer key and secret, verification code and OAuth tokens to authenticate directly with E*TRADE. You enter your brokerage password only on E*TRADE’s website. The extension passes selected account identifiers and labels, balances, positions, transactions and order details to the TickerVue page you approve. TickerVue makes data-reading requests only; the underlying E*TRADE authorization may also permit trading.
Connections to brokerage services use HTTPS. Connector does not send brokerage credentials to TickerVue servers, and does not include advertising, analytics or crash-reporting services. It does not sell account data or use it for advertising. The broker receives your requests and network information such as your IP address under its own privacy policy.
Local storage and retention
Credentials and temporary broker tokens are kept in extension session storage, accessible to trusted extension pages. They are cleared when the browser session ends or the extension is disabled or reloaded. Nonsecret connection handles, the approved site origin and workspace identifier remain in extension local storage so a connection can be recognized after restart. Private browsing is not supported.
Financial reports and snapshots are saved separately by the TickerVue website in this browser, separately for each site and workspace. These saved records currently have no additional application-level encryption. Local browser storage does not protect against a compromised device, browser, extension or website.
Disconnecting and deleting data
Disconnect in the extension to remove its connection credentials and local grant. E*TRADE disconnect also attempts to revoke the token at E*TRADE and reports whether it succeeds. Interactive Brokers Flex tokens must be revoked at Interactive Brokers if you want to invalidate them beyond this extension. Uninstalling removes the extension’s storage.
Disconnecting or uninstalling does not erase reports already saved by the website. Use Clear local data in Interactive Brokers Connections or Clear saved data in the E*TRADE view to delete those browser records. Files you export are separate copies that you manage yourself.
The TickerVue website
The approved page can read the financial results you import. Website features, including information used when you ask the assistant for help, are covered by the TickerVue privacy policy. Extension-local handling is not a promise that information you use in other TickerVue features never leaves the device.
